How to create a design cover that appeals to our readers?

Any reader purchases with the eyes first. They look for familiarity at the same time novelty in a book cover design. The look on the cover must communicate instantly and encourage the potential buyer to go ahead and purchase it.

How exactly then to design such a cover? Is there a set of rules to follow? What are the various ways? We take a look.

Picture this:
A book cover with dull graphics, an unreadable font, and a cluttered design is least likely to get purchased as opposed to a visually appealing book cover. Books that follow a clean, uncluttered visual pattern are mostly likely to be purchased as opposed to that those that have an unattractive design cover. They are also most likely to be clicked when purchasing books online.

So if you want to design the best book cover it is essential to follow certain thumb rules to get the final product right.

As one of the leading graphic design and printing company in Pune, we at Bright Pixel follow the best design standards for our clients for an awesome book design cover.

Let us take a look-

1. Understand the cover design inspiration-
Gather some visual inspiration/ references from websites and other book covers which will help you get a head start. Gathering inspiration will help you to get an idea of what will work for you and what would not. If you have a keen eye you will notice there is plenty of design inspiration even in nature and our day-to-day activities. Create a mood board on your laptop, or note it down in pointers in your diary.

2. What should be the book’s main theme?
What is your book about? Is it a novel, a mystery, or an autobiography? Is it something related to travel? A book cover should be in sync with the theme it has been written. It also needs to support the overall mood of the book and the content that is written inside it.
Note down the book’s main theme and understand how should you go about it.

3. Understand the genre-
If your book is about children’s stories and you have selected a corporate design for your book cover it would certainly put a big question mark in the buyer’s mind. The genre should go with the design.
To get an understanding of how to go about with the genre, get a reference to other top books and accordingly note down what suits you the best.

4. Make use of visual hierarchy-
A visual hierarchy on a book cover is the key to designing an attractive book cover. What do you want your readers to see first?
For most writers, it is the title. However, for best-selling authors, it can be the name first and then the title of the book.
So the title, the name of the author, and the design elements should be placed in such a manner that the buyer gets to see them one by one and is not confused by the overall make of the design.

5. Make use of minimalism-
Less is more! Too heavy a design can not only make the book cover look cluttered it can have a negative impact on the mind of the reader. Also since a lot of browsing happens online, the thumbnail of the book should look clear and concise. Make use of a lot of white space. As a top branding agency in Pune, we strictly inculcate the appropriate use of white space to make our designs look classy and beautiful.

6. Choose an appropriate font and color-
Choosing a typo for your book cover can be tricky. Sometimes it looks great on screen however the same can’t be said when viewed on a book cover. Also one needs to take into account how it looks on the screen.
Also while choosing a color palette, it has to catch the reader’s eye which will set the idea and tone of the book. Wrong colors can confuse the audience making them lose interest in buying the book altogether.

7. Decide on a title that stands out-
The title of the book must stand out. A title also gives very powerful clues regarding the main content of the book. This is can pique the interest of the reader who is likely to purchase the book.

On a concluding note-

Design a book cover that sells however make it also about an emotional connection-

Over the years, creating a book cover has changed owing to the online medium and the advent of e-books. However, the basic principles of a book design remain similar.

To merge the same, one needs the help of a professional book designer who will understand the nuances of designing the ideal book cover suitable for the topic.

Restaurant Branding: How to Create a Unique Identity for Your Business

Restaurants compete in a highly saturated market nowadays. With several restaurants vying for a slice of the market, you need your business to stand out and secure a place. So, how do you go about it?

Well! What strikes your mind when you think about Starbucks? Excellent coffee, outstanding customer service, and elements like their logo or green aprons used by their staff? This is branding.

While delicious food and great ambience are certainly going to give you a sporting chance, a successful branding plan is necessary to ensure that your restaurant is a success. Creating a strong brand identity is a surefire way to help your customers quickly identify your service and products.

One of the best ways to boost customer loyalty is to have a distinctive and memorable restaurant brand. Create a timeless brand identity for your restaurant that appeals to your target market, and they’ll keep coming back and bringing their friends.

Branding ideas to create a unique identity
The company name, tagline, logo, tone, and typeface are the key elements that make up a brand. Every business focuses on these aspects to reflect its value to the market. Here are a few strategies to give your restaurant a unique identity.

Define your Brand

A potential customer will usually see your logo and branding even before visiting your website, tasting the food, or interacting with your staff. It is the face and the first point of contact, which can greatly increase the likelihood that they will become loyal customers. Your brand will greatly influence whether they enter your restaurant and visit again. The “tone and voice” of your brand are clear through your website, social media platforms, promotional items, live events, etc.

Can you imagine KFC without its red and white logo, for instance? The striking red colour promotes impulse purchases and is associated with excitement, enthusiasm, and a zeal for life.

However, a brand’s visual identity consists of much more than just a logo. It needs to be evident on your walls, in your menu, in your décor, and many other places. It should always be consistent and easily recognized, even beyond what our eyes can see.

Target your Audience

If your restaurant is near a university campus and offers reasonably priced food and drinks, it is safe to assume that most of your customers will be college students. Consider opening your restaurant, for instance, in a more affluent area next to business office buildings. In such a case, you might quickly start to become the preferred location for business lunches and networking functions.

By identifying your target audience, you should customize the way you communicate with your customers. It will give you useful information on how to enhance customer service and avoid any negative reviews. To identify your target market, pay attention to the customers that frequent your restaurant every day. A survey is another tool you may use to discover more about your consumers’ preferences.

Focus on Customization
Offer your clients something fresh and unique that they can only get at your restaurant. Consider extending your menu to include vegan and dairy-free options to draw in more clients with a variety of tastes. If your restaurant has a particular theme or merely serves a young, energetic clientele, you can customize your menu accordingly. Create engaging menu descriptions, menu names, and a menu that reflects the theme of your restaurant.

The branding and tone of your restaurant should be consistent throughout, from the logo to the packaging, interiors, colors, writing, signage, and more. If you want to design a cafe, you’ll probably utilize bold colours and typefaces. On the other hand, dark, subdued colours and typefaces will work well for a classy restaurant.

Consistency is Important
Consistency is one of the most crucial elements when it comes to effective restaurant branding. You must convey the same vibe both online and offline. The colours on your website and in your social media accounts should match those of your real location. Make sure your advertising is consistent with your brand if you’re considering it. In regards to offline marketing, the same is true. All printed products, such as flyers, posters, and business cards, must have your logo. If you don’t want to give your wait staff the proper uniforms, you may still ask them to wear t-shirts with the brand’s colours or custom t-shirts with your logo.

In conclusion, developing a strong restaurant brand strategy needs to be your top priority. If done correctly, it will distinguish your business from the many others that are currently open. If you want to develop a strong brand presence and work your way up, contact Bright pixel. We are a digital marketing agency in Pune with experts and professionals who uphold all digital marketing ethics while providing clients with digital marketing solutions. 5 Tips for Making a Perfect Corporate Diwali Gifts Even Better

One of the most anticipated times of the year, the holiday spirit has already begun. With that, your employees are keeping their hopes up for what you have in store for them

But seriously, have you made a choice yet? Will you still be using those diabetic candy boxes, dry fruits, and Haldiram Diwali gift hampers as gifts to ring in the festival?

So, have you planned on gifts? Or do you intend to dampen the enthusiasm of your team with disappointment?

Gifting can be challenging, mostly when it comes to corporate gifting. It can be an expensive affair, and organizations want as much value out of it as possible. Most organizations have policies in place when it comes to giving business gifts to their employees. Gifting to clients and prospects can also be a daunting task, as you want yours to stand out amid the rest of the assortment that they will receive.

Corporate gifts are constantly changing. What was once in style or acceptable is now out of date. As an example, businesses have shifted away from simply sending a box of chocolates, brownies, or dried fruits to creating or customized gift items.

Gifts must have a “wow” factor in order to be remembered. Here are some suggestions to keep in mind while choosing the best corporate Diwali gifts:

1) Customize the gifts

Be personal and pragmatic when it comes to gifting. However, personal does not imply having a name printed on a mug, and practical does not imply purchasing anything from a cheap store. Think of a gift that makes an immediate connection with the receiver and leaves a lasting impression. It not only has a strong brand memory but also makes it simple to distinguish your present from a probable stack of presents. Presenting them with a chic water bottle and office accessories with a personalized touch would be a great move.

2) Don’t be afraid to go for something out of the ordinary

As mentioned earlier, boxes of chocolates, religious idols, or crockery sets, once considered as popular business gifts, are now passe. Don’t be scared to think outside the box if you want your gift to stand out. Being out of the box doesn’t preclude it from being a useful present, either. Consider your audience when choosing an unconventional but useful product.

3) Do not sacrifice quality

Even if the budget for gifts per customer or employee is constrained, make sure the gift is of the highest calibre. The golden rule of corporate gifts is quality over quantity. For example: gifting a box of four excellent-quality chocolates would be preferable to giving a box of 12 poor-quality chocolates. The taste of those premium chocolates you gave them will stay in the recipient’s memory forever.

4) Presentation is essential

First impressions matter a lot. Present your gift so that it not only attracts the recipient’s eye at first glance but also creates a lasting impact. If you appreciate the gift’s packaging but still want to add a personal touch, you can simply attach a tag to the box or tuck a specially created card with your message inside. This adds a personal touch to your gifts while maintaining the packaging’s aesthetic.

5) Convey what the gift means

Gifting is all about the emotions you have behind it. And that’s what sets it apart from a random gift. It’s crucial to express the feelings behind each gift. Give an employee a gift, for instance, and convey a message from management about what the gift means to them. People are more likely to remember a gift if it has a message attached to it.

With the celebration of light and happiness, we aim to empower you to create an extraordinary bond with your employees that they will cherish forever. Make your business associates and employees feel valued by delighting them with a personalized token of appreciation. If you feel the same, let’s get in touch. At Bright pixel, we offer a wide array of options to give personalised and thoughtful gifts this Diwali.

How to choose a color pallet for your website?

It is no secret in the design world that choosing a color pallet is of utmost importance for ensuring the online success of your product or service. Colors arethe first thing that your audience notices, by default. It sets the first step of an emotional to connect as to how your customers will perceive your brand or service. So you see how the use of color is a powerful tool in establishing a brand identity.

We take a look at the statistics-
  • Approximately 85% of people claim that they make purchase decisions based on color.
  • Color boosts brand recognition by almost 80%
  • Approximately 90% of the purchase is based on the overall visual appearance of the brand or website.

A color pallet depends on the type of service, or the domain your business is into. E.g. if you are running a fashion business the use of bright, dark colors will suit the purpose; However, if you are an NGO or have a clinic, a subtle shade with cool colors such as (white, blue, or green) will fit the bill appropriately.

At Bright Pixel, a top Website Design Company in Pune, it is our constant endeavor to design websites suitable to the client’s needs and services. For a strategic web design, it is important to make use of color theory and color psychology.

Before we understand how to choose a color pallet for your website let us understand a basic color theory-

Color theory in short is the science of how colors work. There are 3 basic categories of colors and those are primary, secondary, and tertiary. Primary are the ones that do not get mixed (red, blue, and yellow). Secondary are the ones that are created by mixing two colors (orange, purple, and green) Tertiary colors are the ones created by mixing primary and secondary colors (magenta, vermillion, teal, amber)
How to choose a color scheme for your website? Based on the above points the first step is to decide on choosing the primary colors.

We give you some examples of the same-
  • Primary color Red- Implies excitement, passion, strength, and vigor (normally used for luxury products)
The brand associated- Lego, CNN, Red Bull YouTube, Netflix, and Toyota.
  • Primary color Blue- Implies trust, loyalty, dependability, Security, and Logic (normally used in the medical and corporate sector)
The brand associated- PayPal, Skype, Samsung, Oral B, Intel, and Ford.
  • Primary color Yellow- Implies youth, cheerfulness, optimism, intellect, happiness, and freshness. (normally used for eatables, and anything associated with the communication)
  • The brand associated – Maggi, Lays, National Geographic, Good Year tires, Idea network.
Choosing additional colors-

Once a primary color is decided then the next process is to choose a secondary or a tertiary color that will complement the primary colors. Normally secondary and primary colors go well with each other; especially when one has to use a CTA (call to action button) Yellow (primary) will complement purple and blue (primary) will complement orange.

Choosing background colors for your website-

Choosing a good background color is extremely important for your website as it will form the very base of your overall website. It is a standard practice that choosing off-white or more muted or pastel shades of primary colors will always look good. This way you can be more dynamic by using other colors and creating a color theme for your website. E.g. if you have a fruit selling business oranges, the colors that can go with the website can be white and orange. Or a combination of white, orange, and green (to signify it as an eatable or fruit)

Understanding typography color-

Choosing an appropriate typo color is the final icing on the cake for the website. You cannot just absolutely go wrong with it. Why? If people are not able to read the information how are they going to find out about your product or service?
It is recommended to choose a typo color that used tints of grey, and black and has a more softer and inviting look. People should be easily able to read the information without causing any strain to the eyes. It is also important to note that bright-colored typefaces should be used for certain important bits of information or trivia.
While choosing a color pallet for your website, experimentation is great however with the right use of colors.

Conclusion-

Choosing a color pallet for the website should never be a matter of personal preferences. It should be a well-thought-out process, keeping in mind design standards, current website trends, and most importantly what is your brand associated with.
As the leading Web Designing Agency in Pune, Bright Pixel has the most talented and creative team of designers to create user-friendly websites using the top design standards.

How to Get Google to Index Your Site- A Step-by-Step Guide

Who doesn’t want more organic search traffic to their website? We all do, right? Organic search traffic is significant for growing your website and business. Well! To drive organic traffic to your website, you need to be visible on the dominant search engine in the first place. And, to make your website visible, it needs to be indexed. If Google does not index your website, then you are essentially invisible. You won’t appear in any search queries, and end up receiving no organic traffic whatsoever. So, let us dive into facts on how to get Google to index your site easily and efficiently and the roadblocks to avoid hitting.

Before getting into the details of how to get your website indexed, let’s first go over a simplified explanation of how Google’s indexing works.

How Does Google Index a Site?

Websites that aren’t indexed aren’t included in Google’s database. As a result, these websites cannot be displayed on the search engine’s search engine results pages (SERPs).

To be indexed, websites must be “crawled” by Google’s web crawlers (Googlebot).

  • Crawling: The website is crawled by search engine bots to determine if it’s worth indexing. Web spiders, also known as “Googlebots,” are constantly crawling the internet and following links on existing web pages in search of new content.
  • Indexing: In this process, every web page is stored in a vast database (in Google’s case, its “Index”).
  • Ranking: The webpage is then ranked by the search engine according to criteria like relevance and user-friendliness.

Simply put, indexing means storing a website in Google’s databases. However, it doesn’t guarantee that it will appear at the top of the SERPs. Predetermined algorithms that take into account factors like web user demand and quality checks control indexing. You can influence indexing by managing how web spiders discover your web content.

Also, do not miss the most essential “noindex” tags.

Google won’t index web pages if you tell them not to. This is useful for keeping some web pages private. Web pages with the below meta tags in their <head> section will not be indexed by Google:

<meta name=“robots” content=“noindex”>

This is a meta robots tag, which tells search engines whether to index or not to index the page. If you want Google to index your page you need to change this “noindex” value to “index”.

How do you get Google to index your website?

Well! There are two options. You can just sit back, do nothing, and wait for Google to take action. Google will eventually take care of it if there are no errors, although it can take weeks or months. The second option is to improve Google’s ability to find your site and speed up the process, giving you more time to focus on raising your conversion rate, improving your online visibility, and, of course, creating and promoting some excellent content. So, here are a few strategies on how to get your website indexed quickly and easily.

1) Create an XML Sitemap

Your website’s URLs and details about the pages are listed in XML sitemaps. It enables Google to navigate your sitemap and identify the website pages you want to be indexed. You can create a sitemap that gets automatically updated by using plugins like XML sitemap generators.

2) Add Powerful Internal Links

Google crawls your website to find new content. So, including some internal links on the website is a great way to assist Google in locating your pages. After publishing, make sure your pages are linked together and upload hyperlinks to new content. You can do this from any other web page that Google can crawl and index. However, it makes sense to do so from one of your more “powerful” pages so that Google indexes the page as quickly as possible.

Why? Google is more likely to crawl these pages more quickly than less significant pages.

3) Prioritize High-Quality and Valuable Content

Low-quality pages are unlikely to be indexed by Google because they serve no purpose for users. Your website or web page must be “great and inspiring” for Google to index.

If technical problems do not cause the lack of indexing, the problem may be with the content. Because of this, it’s important to look at your web pages again and consider whether they are valuable. Is it useful for users? If the answer to any of these questions is “NO,” you need to improvise your content.

4) Eliminate Low-Quality Pages (to optimize “crawl budget”).

Simply put, the more pages your website has, the longer it will take Google to crawl your website’s pages. Too many low-quality pages on your website merely waste the crawl budget and make it difficult for Google to get to your most important pages first. It’s a great idea to remove low-quality pages from your website. It can only increase the quality of your website and have a beneficial impact on your crawl budget.

5) Check your robots.txt file

Since it serves as a guide for search engine crawlers, robots.txt files are a crucial SEO tool. Make sure your robots.txt grants Google access to crawl your website.

If your robots.txt file is not configured properly, you may unintentionally “disallow” Google bots from crawling your site, or particular pages on your site that you want Google to index. To resolve these problems, you must remove the relevant “disallow” directives from the file.

6) Use Canonical Tags Correctly

Crawlers can determine which version of a page is preferred using canonical tags. Without a canonical tag, Googlebot understands that a page is the preferred version and the only version of that page, and it will index that page. On the other hand, even if the alternative version doesn’t exist, Googlebot won’t index a page that contains a canonical tag since it will believe that there is a different preferred version of the page. You can use Google’s URL Inspection tools to check for canonical tags.

7) Build High-Quality Backlinks

Backlinks tell Google that a particular web page is important. After all, it must be valuable if someone is connected to it. Google indexes these pages.

Google doesn’t just index websites that have backlinks. Numerous (billions of) indexed pages exist without any backlinks. However, because Google values pages with high-quality links more, it will probably crawl and re-crawl these pages more quickly than the ones without. This results in faster indexing.

8) Publish your URLs to the Google Search Console

Even though Google may already be aware of, crawling, and maybe indexing your new or modified pages, you should still submit URLs to Google Search Console. By doing so, you will also be able to hasten the ranking process.

9) Submit your Sitemap to Google Search Console

Submitting your XML sitemap to Google Search Console helps you track your website’s indexing status. Although Google will ultimately crawl your website, publishing a sitemap accelerates the crawling process.

Digital marketing: A way up for manufacturing industry

The COVID-19 outbreak landed the manufacturing industry in uncharted waters overnight. Most manufacturers have to cut production, and though supply and demand are steadily making progress again, the ways of doing business have altered altogether. With stiff competition and the rise of innovative technologies, having an online existence is no longer an option for manufacturers—it’s inevitable, and if you’re struggling with this transition, digital marketing can benefit.

But do you have questions like, “How can digital marketing benefit businesses in this uncertain time?”Or how are the competitors leveraging digital marketing channels to promote their services and products? So, here’s how digital marketing can help the manufacturing industry.

Connecting with the customer efficiently

Digital marketing helps to connect with customers more efficiently. It helps you build a strong relationship with your customers by engaging them beyond the product sale. The benefits of digital marketing are not just limited to business-to-consumer (B2C) but also extend to business-to-business (B2B), especially when it is used as an effective means of interaction between companies and their partners and suppliers.

Digital marketing helps to connect with customers more cost-effectively. It allows you to reach out to your target audience at a very low cost, so you can save money on other aspects of your business like advertising, employee training, etc., thus helping you become more profitable overall!

Curating content that is relevant to your target audience

Today, the buyer isn’t dependent on the sales team to know about the product anymore. The internet provides all the information they want, and they can get answers to their questions without having to sift through heaps of non-relevant information. So, if you’re not providing thoughtful answers to customers’ questions, – your competitors will.

This is where digital marketing helps you. With content analysis, you can find out what kind of content or information your audience needs, why they need it, and how you can deliver it. It involves analysing the existing content on websites such as blogs, videos or any other form of media to understand what works well with your target customers. This will help you create more effective marketing strategies by identifying key problems faced by customers and then creating suitable solutions through your digital campaigns.

Building a brand and improving brand visibility

Branding is the process of communicating the value of a product or service. It helps to differentiate your product or service from similar ones. Branding has various components such as a logo, slogan, tagline, colour scheme, etc. Branding helps to increase the trust of consumers in your company and thus encourages them to buy from you rather than from someone else. In short, branding helps you build relationships with your target audience with the help of different marketing channels like social media posts, etc., which will eventually lead them towards buying your products/services.

Reaching out to new audiences amid tough market conditions

Manufacturers can use digital marketing to reach out to new audiences and expand their business reach. With digital marketing, you have access to an online global marketplace without any geographic boundaries. You can sell and interact with the customers in every corner of the world, which is impossible to do with traditional marketing techniques. You can share information about your offerings on social media platforms, create eye-catching landing pages, use different web forms to capture leads, utilize email marketing, and much more to attract prospects and increase the chances of conversion.

Looking at the above benefits, there is no denying that digital marketing is the future of marketing as it is more result-driven. It is simply the way up for manufacturing companies. If you are looking to grow digitally, visit us at BRIGHTpixel.
